For Energy Raters

Your expertise is essential in ensuring homes meet energy efficiency standards and qualify for valuable rebates.

As an energy rater, you play a pivotal role in helping Alaskans qualify for cost-saving incentives. Your expertise in energy audits, testing and certification ensures homes meet the standards necessary to access valuable rebates.

AHFC is developing programs that align with U.S. Department of Energy guidelines and that are specifically tailored to address Alaska's unique needs and challenges.

New Home Construction Rebate: Accepting Applications

The New Home Construction Rebate is a state-funded initiative aimed at increasing Alaska’s housing inventory while promoting energy-efficient home construction. The rebate will be paid directly to the homeowner upon completion of construction and a successful application.

As part of their application process, homeowners may be asked to provide documentation supplied by an energy rater. This documentation must be completed by a rater who has been authorized to perform AHFC-authorized energy ratings

What Applicants Will Need From You

  • If the home is completed, a PUR-101 confirming that the home meets a 5 Star-Plus or higher energy efficiency standard.
